EUROPE: COTE D'AZUR BY SCOOTER (2CO)

AT A GLANCE

Do you remember the novel “Perfume“ by Patrick Süskind about the fragrances of the world? Grasse is without a doubt the fragrance center of the world and our playground for the next few days. From Grasse with its huge cathedral we start our day trips to the most interesting points of the Cote d’Azur and Provence. Right on the first scootering day you’ll experience the Mediterranean flair of the small sovereign city-state of Monaco. The ride to Monaco is a pleasure in itself. Small, curvy roads curl themselves along the outskirts of the French Alps, while the sun sparkles in the sea below and the luxury yachts lie in the harbours of Monaco and Monte Carlo. The second day is the total opposite from the glamorous coast. Our destination is the Grand Canyon du Verdon; it makes you feel like you’re in Arizona looking at the Grand Canyon. There’s one big advantage to being here. A crooked road leads around the huge gorge, and with a big smile we’ll scooter it. Sun, beach and relaxation will be our next targets.

There are many beautiful beaches here, and today we’ll take our scooters to one of the most exciting. On hilly roads we head for the Massif de Maures without forgetting to stop for a café au lait at St. Tropez’s beautiful port. On the following day we’ll learn all about fragrances and enjoy scootering along smaller roads through colourful lavender fields. It’s hard to believe, but this tour is nearly over. And so we mount again our trusty steeds and scooter the hills down to Cannes, the Hollywood of Europe to enjoy a last café au lait and croissant. Goodbye Cote d’Azur, we’ll never forget the fragrances, colours and cuisine of Provence.
